Kanaka Decommission Plan
Dear Mr. Blackett,
This letter responds to your November 7, 2025, correspondence regarding STS Hydropower, LLC’s
(STS) Kanaka Decommission Plan filings submitted on October 1 and October 29, 2025. Your letter
requested a response within ten (10) days, by November 17, 2025. STS’s responses are provided below:
Response to Comment 1: The contractor started mobilizing on October 8, 2025. Site demobilization is
forecast for November 21, 2025.
Response to Comment 2: Mr. Mel Koleber’s and Ms. Melissa Rondou’s resumes have been added to the
Decommission Plan attached.
Response to Comment 3: Section C of drawing 5 has been revised to clearly show the riprap extending to
the top of the wing wall. The revised drawing set replaces the previously submitted drawings in the
Decommission Plan, and the corresponding details have been updated in the Supporting Design Report.
Both documents are attached.
