Subject: Groundwater for Butte
Honorable Board of Supervisors,
Thank you for considering qualified applicants for the Non-Agricultural Domestic
Well User Board of Director position, and thank you for the opportunity to express
support for my preferred candidate. I am a domestic well user (or resident of, as
appropriate) in the Vina subbasin and I’m writing to express support for
the appointment of Jim Graydon, as I believe he is the most qualified candidate for
this role.
Mr. Graydon has decades of technical consulting experience in water resources
management, groundwater remediation, and wastewater treatment. Mr. Graydon
also holds a wealth of public service experience as a Domestic Well User
Representative on the Vina GSA Stakeholder Advisory Committee. His past Board
Member service with the CA Onsite Wastewater Association and the CA
Association of Sanitation Agencies lends him further relevant experience.
Mr. Graydon prioritizes trust-building between various stakeholder bodies and will
address communication barriers between them. He engages with a wide network of
Domestic Groundwater Users and acts as a trusted messenger for this community.
Jim Graydon would be a great asset to thoughtful, fair and evidence-based decision-
making on the Vina GSA Board of Directors.
With respect,
Reginald Clodfelter and Rebecca Mercer
