Subject: Request for Assistance: Sidewalk Safety Concerns in Bi
Dear Clerk of the Board,
My name is Angelo Aguilar, and I am a resident of Biggs, California. I am writing to request
your assistance regarding sidewalk and pedestrian safety concerns along Fifth Street near my
home.
Despite previous attempts to contact the City of Biggs, I have not received a response. I hope
your office can help ensure these concerns are addressed and brought to the attention of the
Board of Supervisors.
During the March 11 Biggs City Council meeting, I presented a recorded slide presentation
highlighting:
Absence of sidewalks near my home
Uneven concrete creating trip hazards
Overgrown foliage forcing pedestrians into the street
I also recommended:
Clearing overgrown foliage and repairing uneven concrete
Installing high-contrast domes at street corners
Designating pedestrian crossing areas with appropriate traffic controls
I have attached my presentation for your review. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or
assistance your office can provide to help improve pedestrian safety in this area.
