RE: South Feather Power Project (FEFC No. 2088) Scheduled Dewatering of
Project Features.
Dear Mr. Blackett,
I believe I have made comment to the notification of Scheduled and
were not notified of an aggressive Dewatering. This has happened again this
year end of July and current where the water level has dropped rapidly to the
effect of 9 feet vertical drop leaving the property owners with permanent
dock rights, to scramble to keep pushing our docks out or pull our boats to
keep from damaging them.
were some of us here to help our neighbors out.
Last year several of the property owners called South Feather Water and Power
about such notifications when dewatering was going to happen.
Obviously, we fell on deaf ears and it happens again this year.
Pursuant to 18 CFR § 12.4(b), South Feather Water and Power Agency provides
notification of such dewatering to FERC of scheduled events. I look and have
not seen one for Little Grass Valley Reservoir for this period. Please
correct me if I am wrong.
In the past, South Feather Water and Power Agency had provided written notice
to the land owners of such events. What has changed?
Can you please help to encourage them to work with the property owners and
would like not to have any property damage or loss of value to our land where
we share the shore line.
