RE: Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 619-CA
Bucks Creek Powerhouse
Grizzly Tap Removal and Reconnection – Brief Construction Report
Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter provides a brief construction report for the Grizzly Tap Removal and Reconnection
Project at Bucks Creek Powerhouse, part of the Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619. This report details the successful completion of
the project, including installation of a new 230/115kV auto transformer, transmission upgrades, and
safety enhancements.
On April 29, 2021, FERC’s San Francisco Regional Office authorized Pacific Gas and Electric
Company (PG&E) to proceed with construction. (Enclosure 1) contains the brief construction
report. Please note that the updated Exhibit F-5, reflecting the revised plans and section for Bucks
Creek Powerhouse, is being filed separately with the Commission. This revision reflects the
shortening of the Grizzly Tap and reconfiguration of certain ancillary and non-project features.
Should you have technical questions concerning this matter, please contact Gavin Rhoads, project
engineer for PG&E, at (530) 370-6685. For general questions, please contact Jamie Visinoni,
senior license coordinator for PG&E, at (530) 215-6676.
Sincerely,
Kyle Ingvoldsen, P.E.
Supervisor, Power Generation Project Engineering
