Once the 10-day appeal period ends (January 29, 2026), you will be able to record the Certificate of Merger beginning Friday, January 30, 2026. You will need the following documents for recording at the Clerk Recorder’s Office: • Available for pick-up at Butte County Development Services: o Certificate of Merger – with Wet Signature • Applicant has in their possession: o Owner’s Certificate – with Notary Statement o Legal Description – with surveyor stamp and signature  Note: Please be sure to enter “PROJ-25-0022” as the approved Lot Merger Number per the last line of the new legal description. o Plat – with surveyor stamp and signature A Clerk Recording Fee is due when you record your certificate of merger at the Clerk Recorder’s Office located at 155 Nelson Avenue, Oroville. Once you record the merger, please provide a copy of the recorded document to the Planning Division. Should you choose to appeal the decision of the Dept. of Development Services to the Planning Commission, please submit your appeal, in writing, together with the appeal fee (please contact the Planning Division, dsplanning@buttecounty.net for current fee), to the Department of Development Services, 7 County Center Drive Oroville CA 95965, before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026.
