Low-Level Outlet Inspection
LETTER AND ENCLOSURE CONTAIN CUI//CEII – DO NOT RELEASE
Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents the results of Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) inspection of
the low-level outlet (LLO) at Round Valley Dam, which is part of PG&E’s DeSabla-Centerville
Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 803. PG&E
completed a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) video inspection of the LLO and non-
destructive testing on exposed portions of the conduit on October 8, 2025.
Findings of the LLO inspection indicate that the conduit is in good condition. The inspection noted
mild scale buildup and light pitting. Ultrasonic testing indicates minor section loss in the upstream
exposed portion of the conduit. The LLO inspection report is provided in (Enclosure 1).
PG&E plans to perform the next 5-year LLO inspection in 2031 and submit the results to
FERC by February 28, 2032.
