Most work will be suspended through the end of the year, with minimal traffic impacts expected until construction resumes in early January, weather permitting. Butte County State Route 99 (SR 99) – Gridley Construction activities on SR 99 in the Gridley area are paused for the holiday period. Motorists should experience minimal impacts as construction activities are paused for the holiday period on SR 99 in the Gridley area. The contractor is scheduled to resume work on Monday, January 5. Major paving work is anticipated in spring 2026. State Route 32 (SR 32) – Chico All construction activities on SR 32 in Chico are currently suspended for the holidays. Nighttime work and traffic control operations will remain on hold through the end of the year, with construction scheduled to resume on Monday, January 5. State Route 32 (SR 32) at County Road P The newly installed traffic signal at the intersection of SR 32 and County Road P remains tentatively scheduled for activation by December 31. Until the signal is activated, the intersection will continue operating under its existing traffic control configuration. State Route 70 (SR 70) – Pulga Slip-Out Repair Emergency repair work at the Pulga slip-out location on SR 70 is currently on temporary winter suspension. The roadway has been restored to normal traffic operations with both directions open. Construction is expected to resume in spring 2026. Glenn County State Route 162 (SR 162) – Willows Middle-Mile Broadband (MMB) Project Construction on the SR 162 Willows MMB project is complete and no additional traffic impacts are anticipated. Yuba County State Route 20 (SR 20) – Kibbe Road Intersection Work continues at the intersection of SR 20 and Kibbe Road, where crews have recently installed the signal poles. The project is expected to be completed early next year, weather permitting. Caltrans reminds motorists to remain alert, slow down near work zones, and follow all posted traffic control devices. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or operational needs. Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
