APPLICANT’S SIGNATURE DATE STAFF USE ONLY APPLICATION REVIEWER ZONE DISTRICT EH CLEARANCE YES  NO  N/A PUBLIC WORKS CLEARANCE YES  NO  N/A PROJECT NUMBER ADM25-0015 BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED? YES  NO  N/A BUILDING PERMIT NUMBER COM-NEW-25-0007 ZONING ADMINISTRATOR APPROVAL DATE Butte County Department of Development Services PLANNING DIVISION 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA 95965 Planning Center Phone 530.552.3701 Fax 530.538.7785 dsplanning@buttecounty.net FORM NO PLA-23 xx x RCMEM 1/29/26 2 of 2 PERMIT REQUIREMENTS 1.Residential use and occupancy of temporary housing is limited to a maximum of two (2) temporarydwellings (recreational vehicles, travel trailers, truck campers, or movable tiny homes) currentlyregistered with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, not on a permanent foundation, and utilizinghook-ups for water, sewage disposal, and electricity during the Effective Period of this article (until July31, 2027). 2.Occupancy of temporary dwellings is limited to a county resident or residents whose residential dwellinghas been damaged or destroyed by the Park and Thompson Fires. 3.Temporary housing shall be connected to an approved source of water meeting one of the followingcriteria: (a) Public water supply;(b) Existing well, provided that it has been approved by the Departmentof Public Health, Environmental Health Division as safe for domestic consumption; or (c) Other watersources as approved by the Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Division. 4.Temporary dwellings shall be connected to an approved sewage disposal system meeting one of thefollowing criteria: (a) Public sewer system; (b) Existing on-site sewage disposal system that has beenapproved by Butte County Environmental Health to be intact, adequately sized, and functioning and nocloser that 5 feet from the temporary dwelling; (c) Temporary holding tank with a contract with with apumping company for regular pumping; or (d) Other method of sewage disposal approved byEnvironmental Health. 7.Temporary housing shall be connected to an approved source of electricity meeting one of the followingcriteria: (a) Permitted local utility electrical service connection; or (b) Other power source approved bythe Director of Development Services. 8.Temporary dwellings shall be located outside of required setbacks established in Chapter 24 of the ButteCounty Code. 9.Temporary dwellings shall be located outside of the boundaries of any recorded easements, driveways, andflood hazard areas. 10.Solid waste shall not be deposited, or disposed of, on the open ground of the subject property, shall bekept in an appropriate waste receptacle and removed from the property at least once a week in accordancewith Butte County Code sections 31-50 and 31-51 [Failure to Remove Solid Waste]. 11.Burning of solid waste is prohibited unless permission is obtained from the County Health Officer andButte County Air Quality Management District. 12.The applicant shall comply with the defensible space requirements around the property, pursuant to PublicResources Code 4291. 13.Temporary housing shall be disconnected from utilities and removed from the property no later than July31, 2027, or within 30-days of the issuance of the certificate of occupancy, unless an extension ormodification is approved by the Butte County Board of Supervisors. ______________ Applicant’s Initials
