Subject: NoRTEC Board Appointment
Greetings.
I am the Governing Board Chair for NoRTEC. I was recently informed that the Butte
County Board of Supervisors voted to leave the supervisor role on this board vacant due
to scheduling conflicts with other board appointments.
The document linked below (Workforce Development Board and Governing Board
New Member Handbook) was developed for new board members. It provides a great
deal of information regarding the board(s) roles and responsibilities.
I welcome the opportunity to speak to a member of the Butte County Board of
Supervisors regarding the value and importance of this organization and of having
Butte County represented.
