Subject: Approval of Merger Certificate (PROJ-26-0030); APNs 025-150-003 & 025-150-004
Dear Applicant,
On March 11, 2026, the Department of Development Services found that the Certificate of Merger on the above-
referenced property is exempt from environmental review and approved the project.
Once the 10-day appeal period ends (March 20, 2026), you will be able to record the Certificate of Merger
beginning Monday, March 23, 2026.
You will need the following documents for recording at the Clerk Recorder’s Office:
• Available for pick-up at Butte County Development Services:
o Certificate of Merger – with Wet Signature
o Owner’s Certificate – with Notary Statement
o Legal Description – with surveyor stamp and signature
o Plat – with surveyor stamp and signature
A Clerk Recording Fee is due when you record your certificate of merger at the Clerk Recorder’s Office located at
155 Nelson Avenue, Oroville. Once you record the merger, please provide a copy of the recorded document to
the Planning Division.
Should you choose to appeal the decision of the Dept. of Development Services to the Planning Commission,
please submit your appeal, in writing, together with the appeal fee (please contact the Planning Division,
dsplanning@buttecounty.net for current fee), to the Department of Development Services, 7 County Center Drive
Oroville CA 95965, before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
