2019 Annual FERC Inspection – Extension of Time Request for Action Item 6

Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) request for an extension
of time to address Action Item 6 (I-6) from the annual Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) dam safety inspection for Hendricks Head Dam, which is part of
PG&E’s DeSabla-Centerville Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 803. Included with PG&E’s
extension of time request is a reasoned basis for the request, per Title 18 of the Code of
Federal Regulations, Section 12.40(d). FERC inspected the project facilities with PG&E
staff on July 8–9, 2019, and provided the follow-up action items to PG&E in a letter dated
October 15, 2019. PG&E submitted its original plan and schedule for addressing I-6 in a
letter to your office dated May 29, 2020, and provided its most recent status update on
December 22, 2022.
The extension of time request and reason for the request are enclosed with this letter
(Enclosure 1).
