Board Members,
This is a quick mid-day update. Fire activity has been favorable all day. CAL FIRE has made a lot of
progress throughout the fire line, as evidenced by some zones being downgraded from Order to
Warning. If the wind continues to cooperate, we should see improving conditions in the near future.
There is a repopulation meeting scheduled for tomorrow mid day in order to plan the orderly return
of residents.
The Oro Naz shelter is still near capacity, as is the small animal shelter. Staff is looking to increase
capacity for small animals. The Gridley shelter has a lot of capacity.
As I write this, a new fire has popped up near Grubbs Rd. in Palermo. This is close to the Apache Fire
footprint. We will likely have additional evacuations there. I’ll report later when we know more.
