Board members,
Not much has changed through the day. We did have 3 new fires in the vicinity of the Apache Fire,
and two of them were put out, and the 3rd one is close to being finished. A number of evacuation
orders are being reduced to warning, so folks are picking up their animals and heading home. This is
decreasing pressure on care and shelter.
The EOC will go virtual at 10:00 pm. We have diminished staff available due to the holiday and the
high number of trained staff that has been impacted. The rest of the staff is picking up the load with
extra shifts. The overnight shift will be able to manage from home, and to catch some sleep in the
process. We reconvene in person at 7:00 am.
Dennis will be EOC Director overnight. If you need to reach him overnight he’s at 530-624-4729. I’ll
be back on duty in the morning.
I’ll give you an update mid morning tomorrow after briefings and intel gathering.
