We have reviewed the submittal, and we have the following comments: 1. Your submittal is listed as a design change. However, this doe s not appear to modify the original design we authorized, and therefore is a ch ange in the scope of construction. 2. There is no design intent, other than stating it is a work plat form with stairs. There are no design calculations to document any design requirements, or any information that would indicate this is a designed feature. 3. The submittal does not provide adequate information to clearly identify the location of the work. Since you consider it to be associated w ith the Grizzly powerhouse work we authorized previously, we presume the work i s not dam safety related and does not impact any dam. Document Accession #: 20240705-3045 Filed Date: 07/05/2024 2 4. The drawing specifications appear to be generic specifications and we cannot determine if they are appropriate for this proposed constructio n. Due to the factors above, and provided this project is not loca ted at any dam, you may proceed with construction at your own risk, without our rev iew of the proposed increase in scope of work, provided that all federal, state, an d local permits have been obtained for this work. No response is required for this letter. We appreciate your co ntinued efforts in this aspect of our dam safety program. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Eunhye Kim at (415) 369-3321.
