Notice of Opportunity to Comment on the Department of Transportation’s(Department) Stormwater Management Plan

The State Water Board Stormwater Team requests your comments on the
Department’s Stormwater Management Plan (Plan). Instructions on how to submit
comments and the deadline to submit comments are provided in the Public Notice for
Opportunity to Comment. The Department submitted its Plan to comply with the
Statewide Municipal Stormwater Permit (Stormwater Permit) adopted by the State
Water Board.
The Department owns and operates storm sewer systems across the state that
discharge stormwater runoff to creeks, rivers, and other surface waters. The State
Water Board regulates the Department’s discharges through the Stormwater Permit.
Tte Department’s Stormwater Management Plan provides processes for managing its
stormwater discharges in accordance with the Stormwater Permit.
After reviewing the public comments, the State Water Board Executive Director will
consider approval of the Stormwater Management Plan with any revisions necessary
to comply with the Stormwater Permit.

8. Check the box for “Storm Water Municipal Permitting Issues”, nested under the
“Water Quality” heading,
9. Press “Submit”.
