Greetings,
My name is Barbara McVeigh, one of the founders of the Jimmy Carter Jamboree, a California
initiative by the people to celebrate the values Carter has stood by including honesty in politics,
human rights, peace, etc.
We sent a letter to the BOS and are following up, as we would love for the county to join our
initiative with a proclamation celebrating Carter this year as he turns 100 years old October 1.
Marin County was the first in the state to issue a proclamation in 2017 and since then we’ve been
building up this effort, which has also included other city proclamations as well as a State
Resolution.
