Good morning all County Staff,
The county is migrating Voice over IP (VoIP) phone service to Teams from Skype for Business.
Department-by-department transitions to Teams VoIP have recently begun. Thus far,
Information Systems, Water and Resource Conservation and as of this morning, General
Services, have transitioned to using Teams only.
During the transition, there will be some dialing limitations between Teams and Skype for
Business. Although, phone based limitations only apply to calls or transfers from employees’
552 work numbers, to some (not all) 552 department main or other non-employee (division or
program) numbers.
There are no limitations to the public calling any 552 departmental main, other non-employee
(division or program), or employee 552 numbers.
The following guide was developed to assist everyone with phone operation limitations, that
will only exist during the interim period of department-by-department transitions to Teams
only.
