Good morning Board members,
In case you are interested in the Sobering Center data for its first month of operations I have
attached some information that you may find interesting.
The Park fire kept law enforcement busy in August so we did not see many referrals from them
however expect that to change moving forward. I also expect referrals to the center to rise
significantly in the new couple of months.
Lastly, the Oroville City Council approved an MOU between the City and BCBH this week for the use
of their opioid settlement funds ($50,000 a year) to go towards the operations of the Sobering
Center which is great news!
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
Thanks,
Scott

Subject: Butte County Sobering Center Data
Hello Scott,
Here is our data that you requested, the monthly update at the bottom of the page is our completed
outreach. Keep in mind Oroville Hospital had some concerns when it came to transporting clients to
our sobering center as of today we have not received any clients from them. I have also reached out
to all the Police Departments that Melony sent me and only Butte County Sheriff Department, Chico
PD and Paradise PD have responded. We met with Sheriff Honea and he assured us that he would
make sure all PD would be aligned, but due to the Camp Fire it would be 2-4 weeks after opening.
Scott just to let you know we have only received 1 referral from Butte County Behavioral Health if
you have some suggestions to help us bridge a better connection it would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to reach out to me any time.
Thanks,
