Dear Frank L. Blackett:
This letter presents Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) third monthly construction report
for the spillway rehabilitation project at Bucks Diversion Dam, which is part of PG&E’s Bucks Creek
Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619. In a letter dated
May 7, 2024, FERC provided PG&E authorization to proceed with the project and requested that
PG&E file monthly reports to document the progress of construction. PG&E provided the first
monthly construction report for this project in a letter dated June 20, 2024.
The third monthly construction report is provided in (Enclosure 1). The report provides details on
the project’s construction activities for the month of August 2024. The ongoing civil construction
work consists of rough demolition, rock excavation, slush grout installation, establishing grades
and locations for new spillway section, and placement of concrete for the spillway cutoff wall. This
work is scheduled to be completed by November 2024 and will be documented in a final
construction report. PG&E will submit the final construction report, including as-built drawings, to
FERC within 90 days of project completion, or by February 28, 2025.
