Delegation of Authority Regarding Section 7
Dear Acting Secretary Reese:
This letter respectfully requests that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
designate Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) as its non -federal representative to
conduct formal consultation with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) on
the potential effects to foothill yellow-legged frogs (Rana boylii; FYLF) when constructing
the Hendricks Head Dam Spillway Repair Project (Project) for the DeSabla-Centerville
Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 803.
This repair is being completed to satisfactorily address Item 6 in FERC’s October 15, 2019,
letter to PG&E. Pursuant to 50 CFR section 402.08, PG&E requests FERC designate
PG&E as its non-federal representative for formal consultation under the Section 7 of the
Endangered Species Act. Please respond to this letter by October 31, 2024, to help enable
the Hendricks Head Dam Spillway Repair Project to be constructed within the proposed
construction.
