Re: Decommissioning Final Construction Report
Dear Mr.Fox:
This is in response to a letter dated December 22, 2025,from Ms. Melissa Rondou
that submitted the Final Construction Report for decommissioning the Kanaka Project,
FERC No. 7242. We have reviewed the submittal, and we have no comments. Pursuant
to the Commission staff’s Order Approving Surrender of License issued September 15,
2025, we have determined that all the decommissioning activities have been completed
satisfactorily and, therefore, the surrender of the License for the Kanaka Project is
effective immediately.
We appreciate your continued efforts in this aspect of our dam safety program.If
