User comment: While the outfall flows from the Chico sewage treatment plant originally come
from Calwaters groundwater wells, it ultimately is released into the surface waters of the
Sacramento River. Seems the feasibility of recycling this treated water back to some of the
farms that are presently pumping groundwater in the area should be looked at. The Oroville
SCOR treatment plant outfall into the Feather River is also an opportunity. I believe some of
this treated sewage originally comes from surface waters before being used.
