Subject: Urgent Representation Concerns
I am Christopher Ian Pummell, case #24CF04250. My next court appearance is May 7,
2026. I’m currently located in a Menlo Park Veterans Affairs treatment facility. Due to the
negligence of my former paid attorney Mrs. Nicole Diamond, in which
miscommunication resulted in the issuance of two bench warrants, I had to request a
public defender late in the case. Nicole Diamond being the Director of the public
defenders office presents a conflict of interest which is why I am writing the current
correspondence. I have attempted to speak with my newly assigned public defender, Mr.
Eric Ortner about my upcoming court appearance. My calls and the calls of my clinician
who has a signed ROI have gone unanswered. With an upcoming court appearance, it is
urgent that I speak with my representation as soon as possible. The dates in which I have
called are as follows; April 12th, April 16th and April 22nd. My clinician, (Dr. Wong phone
# 650-665-1263), also called on April 22nd. Dr. Wong is also a credible witness to the
negligence of Mrs. Nicole Diamond. Please assist with connecting me with my
representation or assigning me representation that will effectively communicate with me
about my case. I request that a response be within this month to give me adequate time
to prepare. If I am unable to reach functioning counsel before May 7th, I intend to notify
the court directly.
