To the Clerk of the Board,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the conduct
of State Senator Mike McGuire and Butte County Supervisor
Tami Ritter. I have information indicating that Senator McGuire is
inappropriately using the names and official positions of Butte
County supervisors for political purposes.
Specifically, it is alleged that:
1. Misuse of Official Position: Senator McGuire is utilizing the
office and names of local supervisors, including District 3
Supervisor Tami Ritter, in a manner that constitutes a
misuse of public resources for political gain.
2. Violation of the Political Reform Act: This conduct
appears to be a violation of FPPC regulations concerning the
use of public office and resources for campaign-related
activities.
3. Conflict of Interest: The involvement of Supervisor Ritter's
office in these activities raises serious concerns regarding
ethical standards and potential conflicts of interest under
Government Code Section 3204.
I possess detailed information supporting these claims and
request that this matter be investigated immediately. As public
officials, Senator McGuire and Supervisor Ritter are bound by
strict ethical guidelines to ensure that public offices are not used
for personal or political benefit.
