Notice of 2026 Final Water Year Type Determination
Dear Secretary Reese:
This letter presents the 2026 Final Water Year Type Determination for Pacific Gas and Electric
Company’s (PG&E) Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
(FERC) No. 619. FERC issued a new license for the Bucks Creek Project on June 16, 2022.
Pursuant to Forest Service 4(e) Condition No. 30 and State Water Resource Control Board
Water Quality Certification Condition 7, the Licensees shall annually determine the current
Water Year (WY) type and provide notice to FERC of the final WY type determination.
On May 8, 2026, the California Department of Water Resources issued Bulletin 120, a forecast
of the volume of seasonal runoff from California's major watersheds and summaries of
precipitation, snowpack, reservoir storage, and runoff in various regions of California. Per the
Bulletin 120, the final 2026 water year type for Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project is NORMAL.
