Federal Update: FEMA Review Council Releases Final Recommendations Last week, the FEMA Review Council released its final report outlining a broad set of recommendations to reshape the response, recovery, and mitigation. Update: Extended Deadlines for Health and Human Services Website Accessibility Compliance On May 11, 2026, the Office for Civil Rights within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) filed an Interim Final Rule extending the deadline for counties that receive HHS funding to meet federal accessibility standards under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
