DATE: May 22, 2014
Staff would like to provide the Planning Commission with an update on public hearing actions
of the Zoning Administrator (ZA).
The information provided reflects the first year of hearings activity by the Zoning Administrator. Since the first ZA hearing, a total of 19 applications have been heard by the Administrator and
18 of those applications were approved. One application, Grading Permit GRD13-0001
(Curran) was referred by the Zoning Administrator to your Commission and will be considered
as part of today’s agenda. The attached table shows the 19 hearings and decisions to date. Eleven of the 20 applications
considered (55%) were for Legal Lot Determinations/Certificates of Compliance, while four
applications (20%) considered were Tentative Parcel Maps, and three applications (15%) for
Minor Use Permits. We look forward to discussing this information at the Planning Commission meeting on
