PERMIT REQUIREMENTS: Approval for a ternporary second dwelling is subject to the following
requirements:

A mobile home certifred under uhe 1974 National Mobile IIome ConsÍuction and Safety Standards Act.
Occupancy of the mobile home shall be limited to a close f iend or a relative by blood or tnariage. An
affidavit attesting to the relationship of the involved parties was submitted with the permit application.
No rent is to be charged to the occupant of tlìe mobile home.
The temporary mobile rnust meet the requirements of the Butte County Environmental Flealth
Depatment for domestic water supply and sewage disposal. The granting of this permit does not remove
the requirement of obtaining the applopriate pennits from other Divisiotts, Departments, or Districts.
The siting of the rnobile home shall confonn to the California Rcsidential Code.
The lnobile home is declared to be a temporary use on the propefly, accessory to the primary unit, and
shall not be placed on a permanent foundation. Additionally, a tempomry mobile home shall not be
permitted on a lot or parcel whele thelp is an approved Second Unit.
The permit shall be granted for a tenn of two years. Extensions of the term for the permit, not exceeding
one year for each extension, may be granted if the application for the extension is filed with the Planning
Division within 60 calendal days prior to the date of expiration.
The mobile home shall be vacated upon expiration, or revocation, of the Permit and removed within one
hundred twenty (120) days after expiration of the Permit. If it is not removcd within one hundred twenty
(120) days, the County shall rernove said mobile home and store it at the owner's expense.
The Permit rnay be revoked if any of the terms or conditions of the Pçnnit are violated, or if any acts or
omissions of the perrnittee, in connection with the use authorized by said Permit, constitute a public
nuisance.
The applicant must maintain a bond ol deposit in the amount of $1,500 for a single-wide mobile lrome or
$2,000 for a double-wide mobile home. The applicant shall grant tsutte County the riglrt to enter the
properfy, to remove the mobile home, and store it at thc sole cost and cxpense of tlre applicant
'Ihe permit is non-transferable. To have the initial deposit retulrted, in the event that property is solcl, the
owner nìust remove the unit or convert the unit to a permanent second dwelling (if permitted), or if the
luew owner applies for a new application for the temporary mobile home, then the new deposit must be
received by the County.
