Hi Rob,
I am following up on the open Agricultural Commissioner review for Building Permit B17-1215 for
Danny Webb at 2953 West Sacramento Avenue (APN 042-160-019). At the conclusion of the
Agricultural buffer review for RFI17-0155, Pete sent around the email below documenting the
consultation between DDS and the AG Commissioner’s office and confirming the placement and
orientation of the residence which is consistent with the site plan submitted for B17-1215.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or I can provide you with any additional information.
Thank you,
Chuck

Subject: FW: Danny Webb Site Plan (RFI17-0155) Ag Buffer
Below is an overview by Tristan Weems, Assistant Planner and site plan of the house placement on
2593 West Sacramento Avenue (042-160-019). The subject parcel is approximately 160’ wide by
2,322’ long. We will confirm today with the property owner this review. After consultation with the
Ag Commissioners office, the Airport Land Use Commission, flood zone and other factors, DDS has
concluded that this placement is substantially consistent with the Ag Buffer requirements in the
Zoning Ordinance. --pete

Subject: Danny Webb Site Plan
Greetings,
Due to the presence of the C compatibility zone and flood zone to the south, we have had the
applicant proceed with an ALUC Compatibility Determination, which was unanimously approved by
the Airport Land Use Commission on Wednesday. In addition, we find that the current place and
orientation of the dwelling is appropriate for the parcel’s configuration. We find that the benefit of
approximately 36 additional feet of buffer if the house were placed parallel with the parcel (only for
the side opposite the garage, which if oriented parallel with the parcel would result in negligible
benefit through distance to residential space) does not outweigh concerns brought up by the owner
of: being exposed via windows and doors to the adjacent ag if oriented parallel to the parcel; the
inability to monitor children whilst riding horses in the back yard (from the kitchen); and the
aesthetic appeal of the home as proposed. The proposed 15 foot buffer to the west exceeds the
zoning setback of 8 feet. We currently show the house to also be located 300 feet south of the
structure located near the well.
Thank you,
