Roadways can serve more than one parcel. 1272.10 Driveways (a) All new driveway construction or an extension of an existing driveway shall comply with Public Resources C^e 4290 roadway requirements.Driveways canonly serve a single parcel. (b) The length of vertical curves in roadways, exclusive of gutters,ditches,and drainage structures designed to hold or divert water, shall be not less than 100feet. 1273.0S n Roadway •Driveway Turnarounds Turnaroundsarerequiredondrivewaysanddead-endroadsas specifiedinthisarticle.The minimum turning radius for a turnaround shall be40 feel from the center lineof the road. If a hammerhcad-T is used,thetopofthe"T" shallbea minimumof60 feetin length. 1273.06 •Roadway • Driveway Turnouts Turnouts shall be a minimum of 10 feet wide and 30 feel long with a minimum 25 foot taper on each end. 1273.07• Roadway • Driveway Structures (a) All driveway,road,street,and private lane roadwaystructures (Bridges,culverts,and other appurtenant structures which supplement the roadway bed or shoulders) shall be constructed to carry at least the maximum load and provide the minimum vertical clearance as required by Vehicle Code Sections 35550,.15750and 35250. All bridges shall be certified by a registered Civil Engineer. (b) Appropriatesigning, including but not limitedto weight or venical clearance limitations, one-way road or single lane conditions,shall reflect the capability of cadi bridge. (c) A bridge with only one trafTic lane may be authorized by the localJurisdiction;however,it shall provide for unobstructed visibility from one end to the other and lumouls at both ends. 127.1.08.One-Way Roads All one-way roads shall be constructed to provide a minimum of one l()-fool trafllc lane,flic localjurisdiction may approve one-way roads. All one-way roads shall connect to a two lane roadway at boiii ends,and shall provide access to an area currently zoned for no more than 10 dwelling units. In no case shall it exceed 2640 feet in length. STREET &ROAD SIGNS 1274.01.Size of Letters,Numbers and Symbols for Street and Roads Signs Size of letters,numbers,and symbols for street and road signs shall be a minimum 3 inch letter heigiil,3/8 inch stroke,refleclorized,contrasting with ilie background color of the sign. 1274.02.Visibility and Legibility of Street and Road Signs Street and road signs shall be visible and legible from both directions of vehicle travel for a distance of at least 100 feet,fleighl of street and road signs shall be uniform county wide,and meet the visibility and Icgihililystandards of thisarticle. _ 1274.03.Height of Street and Road Signs Height of street and road signs .shall be Uniform County wide,and meet the visibility and legibility standards of this article. AH street signs installed will be in accordance with standards S-12 andS-I3 (BCIS 13.03-6). 1274.05.Intersecting Roads,Streets and Private Lanes Signs required by this article identifying intersecting road.s.streets and private lanes shall be placed al the intersection of those roads,streets,aniEor private lanes. 1274.06.Signs Identifying Traffic Access limitations A sign identifying traffic access or flow limitations, including but not limited to weight or vertical clearance limitations, dead-end road,one-way road or single laneconditions, shall be placed: (a) at the intersection preceding the traffic access limitation,and (b) no more than 100 feet before such traffic access limitation. 1274.07.Installation of Road,Street and Private Lane Signs Road,street and private lane signs required by this article shall be installed prior to final acceptancebythelocaljurisdictionof road improvements. 74.08.Addresses for Buildings All buildings shall be issued an address by the local jurisdiction which confonns to that urisdjclion's overall address system.Acces.sory buildings will nol be required to have a icgjrate address;however,each dwelling unit within a building shall be separately identified, /i274.09.SizeofLetters. Exception:Noncornbustible or exterior fire-retardant treated wood vehicle access doors are mil required tocomplywiththischapter. 704A.4.I Decking. 704A.4.I.]Decking surfaces.Decking,surfaces,stair treads,risers, and landings ofdecks, porches, and balconies where any portion of such surface is within 10 feet (3048 mm) of the primary structure shall comply with one of the following methods: 1)Shall he constructed of ignition-resistant materials and pass the performance requirements ofSFM 12-7A-4,1'arts A and B. 2) Shall be conslrucled with heavy timber,exterior fire-relardant-trcaledwood or approved noncornbustible materials. 3) Shall pass the performance requirements of SFM 12-7A-4,Part A, 12-7A-4.7.5.I only with a net peak heal release rate of 25kW/sq-n for a 40 minute observation period and: a) Deckingsurfacematerialshallpasstheacceleratedweatheringlest andbe identifiedas exterior type, in accordance with ASTM E 84 and; the exterior wall covering to which it the deck is attached and within 10 (3048mm) feel of the deck shall be constructed of approved noncornbustible or ignition resistant material. Exception:Wallsarc not required tocomply with this subsection if the dcclcingsurface material conforms to ASTM E-84 Class B flame spread.
