Dear Ms. Green;
You recently requested that the County of Butte provide a letter stating that we accept the
elevation stated on the Elevation Certificate (EC) for the Subject Property.
The property you are interested in is located at 4577 Midway, Richvale CA 95974; APN
029-210-003. The property is located in a Zone A with no Base Flood Elevations (BFE)
determined. The preparer of the EC, Lauren McSwain, a licensed Surveyor in the state of
California, prepared the EC based on a survey conducted by them. The BFE established
by the Surveyor is 101 .8 feet. The BFE is based on the NAVD 1988 datum using the Data
Extrapolation simplified method. Because a simplified method was used this EC may not
be used for insurance rating purposes as required by the National Flood lnsurance
Program (NFIP).
Based on the above the County of Butte has accepted the Elevation Certificate issued on
February 28,2017 which established the Base Flood Elevation of the Subject property as
being at 101 .B and that the lowest finished floor was constructed at elevation 1 02.52 feet.
This is in conformance with the Counties Flood Plain Management Ordinance.
