HomeMy WebLinkAboutJune 25 Permit Fee June 25, 2017 Mr. Tim Snellings, Director Department of Development Services 7 County Center Drive Oroville, CA 95965 Mr. Snellings, The Magalia Beautification Association, Inc., a non-profit 501C-3 organization, is requesting a waiver of the permit fee for placing a decorative pole at our Magalia Post Office garden. The structure will be 10 feet high and will consist of a 4” x 4” metal beam capped with an American eagle. The property owner has approved our project and USA has indicated no services are located in the proposed location. In addition to establishing and maintaining the gardens along Skyway in Magalia, MBA was responsible for the Welcome to Magalia sign, has installed many public benches, and added metal sculptures at RiteAid (dragonfly) and at Jaki’s Hilltop Restaurant (butterfly and The Gardener). MBA is now in its 20th year and we would like to continue our mission of beautifying our community with an additional metal art sculpture at the Magalia Post Office for the benefit and enjoyment of the community. Your consideration of this request for a waiver of the permit fee for this project would be greatly appreciated. Respectfully, Sharon Kvist, Project Coordinator Magalia Beautification Assoc., Inc.
