To Whom It May Concern:
With reference to the above subject:
Erosion Control Plans – check #1
ACTION REQUIRED:
Resubmit erosion control plans in accordance with changes and/or additions below.
Review and comment on the following:
Remarks:
1. Fiber rolls have a very limited sediment capture zone. The adequacy of the ECP measures cannot
be determined based on the information provided. Show areas of exposed soil and ground
disturbance on plan. Show slope inclination on plan. Comply with BMP guidelines for number of
fiber rolls and distance between fiber rolls given slope inclination.
2. Show fiber roll parallel with level contours. Although stated in fine print, the importance of installing
fiber rolls on level contours needs to be clearly communicated.
3. Show scale, north arrow, and assessor’s parcel number on plan.
4. Show details for concrete washout in conformance with BMP guidelines.
5. The engineer shall state the time of year that construction activity may occur on the plan. If
construction activity occurs between November 15 and April 1, the preparer of the erosion and
sediment control plan shall certify that the conditions are suitable for such construction.
6. Show contact information for the engineer on the erosion control plan including name, address and
phone number. In the event of failure of ECP measures, the engineer will be contacted to correct
the failure.
7. The plan checking deposit has been expended. Submit an additional $81.50 prior to continued
plan checking.
