3816 and 3820 Hicks Lane have existing septic systems comprised of
septic tanks and conventional gravity leach trenches. This letter is to
request an exemption for the existing septic systems at 3816-3820
Hicks Lane when the existing property is split into 4 parcels of
approximately 18.75 acres each. The 3 newly created parcels that
currently have no development will have septic systems designed by a
certified engineer or designer. A site evaluation will need to be
performed and verified (via site visit) by Butte County Environmental
Health. The approved septic design and location will be shown on the
new tentative parcel map prior to approval of the 1 to 4 lot split. If one
of these parcels is developed and a new location for a septic system is
desired, a new site visit will need to be conducted.
