Please refer to the enclosed documents: PLG-06 Use Permit Application, Section 24-159 Child
Care Facilities and Article 27 Section 24-193 D. The Use Permit Application includes all the materials necessary for you to apply for the Minor
Use Permit (MUP) note “C.” and the Environmental Health Pre-Authorization Clearance, which is due before application to Planning – you will need to bring a site plan showing existing
improvements and your proposal to Environmental Health for their review. Section 24-159
includes the requirements for your proposal, please see E. for Large Child Care Facility specific requirements and E. 3. the requirement for a paved road. Article 27, Section 24-193 covers the
exception request and we will need you to address findings 1., and 2. in order to process the
exception request.
As discussed, the non-refundable fee due to Planning is: $1,258.86. Minor Use Permits are
classified as a “discretionary project” and is subject to public comment and a public hearing, in addition to the Planning Division staff analysis of relevant code sections and how they apply to
your situation. Please note that you are not guaranteed approval of the project by paying the
fee and submitting an application. Based on the Section 24-159 E. 3. requirement, the Planning Division will not be able to support your application.
