Dear Mr. Michelena:
T-Mobile West, LLC (as successor by merger to MetroPCS California LLC, a Delaware limited liability
company (“Applicant” or “T-Mobile”) is a co-locating tenant at the wireless communication antenna
facility installed on the captioned property. The wireless facility was installed on the property pursuant
to UP 98-05. The co-location of antennas by MetroPCS on the existing structure was approved under
UP01-02 with a subsequent letter, dated Ma4 4, 2011, approving a modification allowing for an increase
in the size of the antennas and the installation of an additional equipment cabinet.
The current T-Mobile installation consists of six (6) panel antennas installed at a centerline height of 65’
on the existing ~ 100 foot-tall lattice tower. T-Mobile also has equipment cabinets installed on a concrete
pad within the existing facility compound.
T-Mobile will be modifying its installation by means of installing (3) tower mounted amplifiers (“TMA’s”).
One (1) TMA will be installed behind (3) of the existing antennas. The TMA’s are roughly the size of a
small shoe-box and will not be noticeable given their installation location, their size and the overall scope
of the existing tower.
A set of project plans dated June 15, 2015 are enclosed for your review. Specifications for the replacement
antennas and TMA’s may be found on sheet A-3 of the plans.
The above described replacement antennas and TMA’s will be installed on the same, existing, supporting
mounts as T-Mobile’s existing antennas so there will be no enlargement of the current canopy of
antennas. Additionally, the project will not increase in the overall height of the structure nor will the
project require the expansion of T-Mobile’s existing equipment cabinet lease area. There will be no
ground disturbances associated with this project. T-Mobile will comply with all existing conditions of
approval.
