HomeMy WebLinkAboutUP15-0005_PC Hearing Notice_APO Department of Development Services Tim Snellings, Director Pete Calarco, Assistant Director 7 County Center Drive T: 530.538.7601 Oroville, California 95965 F: 530.538.7785 buttecounty.net/dds BUTTE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Butte County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider an application for Conditional Use Permit UP15-0005; and to review the applicant’s compliance with the conditions of approval for UP14-0002 (Old Durham Wood, Inc.) on January 28, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter, in the Butte County Board of Supervisors’ Room, County Administration Center, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California as follows: Project Information Project: UP15-0005 Location: The project site is located at 1156 Oroville-Chico Highway, Durham. The project site is located approximately five miles southeast of Chico, westerly of Highway 99 and 1.8 miles north of Durham-Dayton Highway. APN: 040-120-033 Proposal - Conditional Use Permit UP15-0005: The applicant is requesting an amendment to approved Conditional Use Permit UP14-0002 to establish a single-family home for employee housing; allowing temporary use of a recreational vehicle as a residence during construction; and, relocation of the hazardous materials depot. An Addendum to the adopted Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (SCH# 20140424060) was prepared to address the environmental effects associated with the proposed amendments to the approved project. It is the finding of the Butte County Planning Division that the previous environmental document, as amended, fulfills the environmental review requirements of the proposed project, and that a preparation of a new EIR or Negative Declaration is not required, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Conditional Use Permit UP14-0002 - Review of compliance with conditions of approval: County staff is also requesting the Planning Commission review and verify compliance with the conditions of approval for UP14-0002, approved by the Planning Commission on May 22, 2014 to bring the existing green waste receiving, chipping and grinding operation, composting facility, and firewood processing operation into compliance with Butte County Zoning Code, and to allow for a 25-acre expansion of the facility.
